The famous manager of Osaka’s most famous sake distributor “Yamanaka Sake-no-Mise” has gone independent in Kyoto. Located in the heart of Kyoto, the second floor of the building where the store is located is home to Kyoto’s most famous sake bar, Takahashi.
This sake store is notable for two things: first, it carries Oroku, a hard-to-find sake, and second, it offers tastings at reasonable prices. Oroku” is a rare sake that is only sold at 39 sake stores in Japan. If you visit Kyoto, be sure to purchase a bottle of this sake.
