Yakitori Aogu | Loved by Locals in Kyoto

Tavern

A yakitori restaurant where you can enjoy yakitori and Soba noodles. This restaurant was created by a man from a yakitori restaurant and the son of a buckwheat noodle shop owner who teamed up to create this restaurant.

Yakitori is grilled over Kishu-binchotan charcoal. The most popular item is the “momo” (thigh), which is steamed once and then grilled at a high temperature to give it a fluffy texture not found in yakitori from other restaurants.

The restaurant is also particular about its Japanese sake. The combination of Soba and hot sake is especially recommended.
