The main store in Nakano, Tokyo, has opened a branch in Kyoto. Yakiton is a pork spit-roast. The restaurant’s yakiton is unusual in Kyoto because the main ingredient used in Kyoto cuisine is beef, whereas in Tokyo pork is often used.
This restaurant’s skewers are very reasonably priced, starting at 130 yen per skewer. In addition to skewers, this restaurant offers a wide variety of pork-based dishes. The restaurant is mainly counter seating, but tables are also available. If you want to enjoy conversation with the manager, I suggest you sit at the counter.
However, this restaurant cannot be reserved in advance and you may not be able to enter. Also, payment is by cash only; credit cards are not accepted.
