世界遺産・二条城では、2025年3月14日から4月13日まで「二条城桜まつり2025」が開催されます。城内には約50品種・300本の桜が植えられており、カンヒザクラを皮切りにソメイヨシノ、ヤマザクラ、シダレザクラ、サトザクラなど約1ヶ月にわたり多彩な桜を楽しむことができます。
昼の部では城内を巡りながら楽しめるスタンプラリーや伝統芸能の披露、ワークショップなどの文化イベントが開催されます。また、京都の老舗が集まり特産品を展示・販売する「京の名産品展」も行われ、訪れる人々に京都の魅力を伝えます。
夜の部では「NAKED meets 二条城 2025 桜」と題し、歴史的建造物を活かしたプロジェクションマッピングや桜のライトアップが行われ、幻想的な夜桜の風景を楽しむことができます。株式会社ネイキッドによる演出で、二条城ならではの歴史と現代アートが融合した美しい光景が広がります。
入場料は通常観覧とライトアップで異なり、ライトアップは曜日によって料金が変わります。月～木曜は中学生以上1,600円、小学生800円、金～日曜・祝日は中学生以上2,000円、小学生1,200円、特定日にはさらに料金が変動します。通常観覧とライトアップは入替制となるため、訪問前に公式情報を確認することをおすすめします。歴史と桜が織りなす幻想的な空間を、ぜひ二条城で体験してください。

NAKED meets Nijo-jo Castle 2025 Sakura
Nijo Castle, a World Heritage Site, will host the “Nijo Castle Cherry Blossom Festival 2025” from March 14 to April 13, 2025. The castle is planted with 300 cherry trees of about 50 varieties, including someiyoshino cherry trees, yamazakura cherry trees, weeping cherry trees, and satozakura cherry trees, and visitors can enjoy a wide variety of cherry blossoms for about a month.
During the daytime, cultural events such as a stamp rally that can be enjoyed while touring the castle, traditional performing arts performances, and workshops will be held. In addition, an “Exhibition of Kyoto’s Specialties,” where Kyoto’s long-established shops gather to display and sell their specialties, will be held to show visitors the charms of Kyoto.
In the evening, under the title “NAKED meets Nijo Castle 2025 Cherry Blossoms,” visitors can enjoy a fantastic nighttime cherry blossom scene with projection mapping and cherry blossom lighting that takes advantage of the historical architecture. The production by Naked Inc. will create a beautiful scene that blends history and modern art unique to Nijo Castle.
Admission fees differ for regular admission and for the illuminated viewing, and prices for the illuminated viewing vary depending on the day of the week. Admission is 1,600 yen for junior high school students and older and 800 yen for elementary school students from Monday through Thursday, and 2,000 yen for junior high school students and older and 1,200 yen for elementary school students from Friday through Sunday and holidays, with additional charges on special days. Regular viewing and illuminated viewing are switched, so it is recommended to check the official information before visiting.
